Requirements:You need a windows machine with a 3d card that supports OpenGL
Instructions:Run the executable. The image in map.bmp will be displayed, and you can use the mouse to left click and place cones on the course. Once all the cones are in place, press ENTER to go to first person view. Now you can fly around the course in 3d! Press escape to exit. To swap in your own course map, just replace the map.bmp file, it must be the same exact size as the default map.bmp file!
Comments:This is my first time playing with an opengl program, so this is very simple and lacks a lot of obvious features like saving, or driving physics. If there is interest I will build upon this. The source code is also freely available, it is built on top of some basic openGL tutorials. You are free to add your own features, just please submit them back to me so I can keep track of them.
This program is pretty useful for getting an idea of what the course will look like ahead of time, for practice or to help in designing courses. Enjoy!
